Humans of Cov

In the lead up to City of Culture, we celebrate the Human Rights Act

Human Rights underpin how we live our lives in the UK so that you are protected when things are good and bad.

Generously funded by the City of Culture Trust

In the lead up to Coventry being City of Culture in 2021, the Trust have asked us to take portraits and interview people about their relationship with Human Rights.

People spoke to us about coming to Coventry from elsewhere, settling and building a life in communities. How working cooperatively can help themselves, the environment and take the stresses away from life.

Human Rights to our interviewees is about freedom, responsibilities and support - that when we enjoy ourselves we know the system we have built is supporting others to make their lives better, and that when we need it, that system will be there for us.

Photo Miners took about 45 portraits and interviews. A selection of the portraits are below.
